J.K. Holmgren Engineering, Inc. (JKHE) was contracted to provide complete site design for a 3-story, 65-unit hotel in a commercial zoning district.
JKHE’s services included extensive research at the municipal and county level, as well as in the Land Court. Additional services included: a complete topographic and boundary survey, soil evaluations, wetlands location, complete site design and engineering drawings for presentation to the City of Brockton. JKHE also provided complete survey control and stake-out services throughout the construction phase of the project.
JKHE represented our client at various environmental hearings as well as the Site Plan Review Board.
The site posed some particular engineering constraints due to the minimum number of units specified by our client and the proximity of the wetland resource area. This required an extensive drainage infiltration system below the proposed parking area.
Upon completion of the project, JKHE performed a comprehensive as-built survey for the City of Brockton, a Certificate of Compliance Plan to satisfy the Conservation Commission, and an ALTA Plan.
